A modern name for Iffley Street, the principal route through the village. In the 1970s, the great increase in car ownership caused the highway authority to bar through traffic from its narrow, winding course. Steel barriers went up beyond the church, across Tree Lane and across Meadow Lane. For walkers, riders and cyclists, Iffley village is still connected to the rest of the parish.
