About The Society

Founded in 1994, the Iffley History Society has the following aims:

  • to research in depth the history of Iffley
  • to promote interest in that and related history (local history of Oxford, Oxfordshire and the social history of England in particular)
  • to develop an archive of documents and images, and to act as a repository for records and artefacts
  • to publish historical material based on the Society's findings

Each year the Society arranges a programme of evening lectures in Iffley Church Hall and outings for members.
